摘要: Abstract In the paper, an easy-operated scheme is presented to generate a novel kind of atmospheric cold plasma millimeter jet. The jet achieved in several kinds gases at atmosphere pressure, such as Ar, He and N2, capillary quartz dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) system powered by pulsed power source with frequency 15 kHz. Via CCD camera, initial filaments DBD gap are found be transited into diffusion discharges or glow-like flowing gas through formed outlet simultaneously. critical flow velocity for formation determined 3–8 m/s different well-designed Pitot tube probe. range special can changed varying velocity, while varies lot Helium takes longest about 44 mm when helium flows 20 m/s. Beyond limit laminar flow, becomes torrent unstable its turns shorter.
