摘要: The current thrust toward greater integration and harmonization of transnational biobank regulations is analyzed with analogical reference to the Tower Babel account in Book Genesis. Raising question whether should be harmonized, we distinguish between three types research biobanks: local, regional, international biobanks. critically addressed terms social ethical robustness such regulations. Our conclusion that proposals for integrating harmonizing biobanking an increasingly industrial context are not socially ethically robust. Rather, they amplify inherent problems arising from this challenging task.
