摘要: In the current research, application and capability of electric discharge treatment (EDT) for enhancing cytocompatibility tribological properties medical-grade Co–Cr alloy were investigated. The specimens treated by copper tungsten (Cu–W) electrode in a deionized water tank (dielectric medium) at different spark energy levels. To examine substrates, MTT [3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide] assay was performed to evaluate substrate cell viability. Furthermore, wear rate coefficient friction substrates examined on pin-on-disc tribometer. vitro results revealed that % viability MG-63 cells EDT sample approximately two times improved compared with untreated surface. showed samples have better reducing four higher resistance unmachined samples. surface modification 10 A 60 µs pulse on-time 150 off-time found as significant parameters both assessments.
