摘要: The insulin-like growth factor system and its two major receptors, the IGF receptor I (IGF-IR) IR, plays a central role in variety of physiological cellular processes including growth, differentiation, motility, glucose homeostasis. IGF-IR is also essential for tumorigenesis through capacity to protect cancer cells from apoptosis. IR expressed isoforms: isoform A (IR-A) B (IR-B). While IR-B regulation metabolic effects has been known several years, more recent evidence suggests that particular IR-A, may be involved pathogenesis cancer. Ligand-mediated endocytosis tyrosine-kinases receptors critical modulating duration intensity action but while signaling pathways induced by are quite characterized, very little still about mechanisms proteins regulate ligand-induced trafficking. In addition, how these affect downstream not fully characterized. Here, we discuss current understanding regulating sorting their implications biological responses.
