摘要: Abstract The effects of exogenous chromium (Cr) on the growth three species duckweeds: Spirodela punctata (G.F.W. Meyer) Thomps., polyrhiza (L.) Schleiden and Lem na gibba L., were examined at Cr concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 20 p.p.m. Using 51 radiotracer methodology, it was demonstrated in Experiment 1 that sorption directly related ambient after 8 days exposure. At above 1.0 Cr, negative evident, with seasonal variations apparently also affecting uptake toxicity. Chrome tolerance, based percentage control achieved by exposed plants, showed S. be least tolerant while L. more In 2, duckweeds grown nutrient-rich water an initial concentration 10 exhibited substantial growth, bioaccumulation increasing time. possible use various types biological treatment systems for removal wastewater is discussed.
