摘要: Abstract It is readily apparent upon examination and comparison of organisms the same related species that to a large extent genes control morphological features. One means ascertain role degree genetic study in detail anatomy development particular structure, say an identifiable neuron, population with fixed genome, at different stages morphogenesis. The small crustacean, Daphnia, well suited for this type study, since it reproduces parthenogenically, its easily staged, nervous system reasonably simple. In paper comparisons detailed morphology neurons visual adult Daphnia magna are considered. Results indicate gross features reproduced within clone, but some finer details not reproduced.
