摘要: This review focuses on the design of vents in packages used for handling horticulture produce. The studies vent designs that are conducted to obtain fundamental understanding mechanisms by which different parameters affect rate and homogeneity airflow cooling process presented. Ventilated should be designed such a way they can provide uniform distribution consequently produce cooling. Total opening area size position show significant effect pressure drop, air uniformity efficiency. Recent advances measurement mathematical modelling techniques have provided powerful tools develop detailed investigations local heat mass transfer processes within complex packaging structures. complexity physical structure packed systems biological variability make both experimental model-based transport challenging. In many available models, is assumed as porous medium; limitations media approach evident during vented package principally when container-to-produce dimension ratio below certain value. chaotic horticultural ventilated forced-air precooling complicates numerical study energy considering each individual Future research efforts directed models package, stacking well their interaction with adjacent produce, stacks surrounding environment. For validation development better taking into account system also very important.
