摘要: Abstract Second-order effects in the propagation of elastic waves through homogeneous isotropic media are considered. The jump conditions governing second-order quantities at wave fronts where first-order displacements have discontinuous derivatives derived, and it is seen that a consistent theory requires secondorder to be such fronts, general. results illustrated by some one-dimensional examples involving plane spherical waves.
