摘要: Abstract Ten triterpenes (1–10) were isolated and identified from the twigs of Gardenia saxatilis (Rubiaceae) subjected to antiplasmodial evaluation against parasite Plasmodium falciparum. The first six compounds, lupenone (1), lupeol (2), betulinic acid (3), oleanolic (4), ursolic (5), winchic (27-O-feruloyloxybetulinic acid) (6) inactive in assay. other four messagenic A (7) B (8), 27-O-p-(Z)- 27-O-p-(E)-coumarate esters acid, a mixture uncarinic E (27-O-p-(E)-coumaroyloxyoleanolic (9) 27-O-p-(E)-coumaroyloxyursolic (10) exhibited activity, with IC50 values 1.5, 3.8 2.9 μg/ml, respectively. results indicated that p-coumarate moieties at 27-position, both cis trans isomers, contributed activity. Introduction methoxyl group 3-position moiety give ferulate resulted loss
