摘要: This report reviews the available literature on groundwater recharge and resource assessment in Africa. The purpose of this review is to identify estimates that have been undertaken either Africa, or outside Africa but similar environments climates those found Africa. The first part highlights importance modelling study climate change impacts resources Section 2 discusses mechanisms, challenges estimation, particularly arid semi-arid regions. Sections 3, 4, 5, 6 largely describe studies areas, especially which used different methods at scales. In final we emphasize our main conclusion: • There a gap information scale temporal spatial distribution across much Most existing done an ad hoc basis using very data, so there no consistency between these also patchy unequal. • potential value producing process-based quantitative continental estimate uses consistent approach as for studying only model, WaterGAP Global Hydrology Model (WGHM) (Doll et al. 2003, Doll Florke 2005, Fiedler 2008), was originally designed global runoff, does not fully quantitatively account detailed hydrogeological processes, particular soil moisture processes related recharge. • Developing continental-scale model accounts highly variable zones with limited great challenge. Modelling difficult areas.
