摘要: A dipole electromagnet of especial use for bending beams in particle accelerators is wound to have high uniformity magnetic field across a cross section and decrease evenly zero as the ends are approached by disposing superconducting filaments coil crescent-shaped nonoverlapping portions two intersecting circles. Uniform at achieved causing circles overlap increasingly direction until complete terminated.
