摘要: The subkingdom of the protozoa contains many different types single celled organisms and some colonial (aggregate) forms that have been interest to those interested in photomovement. In an older review by Bendix (1960), evaluation photomovements these organisms, as reported various researchers, was conducted making reference orders which each belonged. Revisions made both terminology (or naming protozoa) also systematic grouping for classification (Lee et al., 1985). A re-evaluation based on a systematics approach will hopefully prove useful if no other reason than being considered update. Emphasis be placed their subphyla, classes, (sub)orders. Within such scheme, current status knowledge within group briefly reviewed highlighting aspects photochemical basis responses, information available possible transduction schemes compare characteristics overall photomovements. Any order or genus where photobehavior has not obviously omitted convenience but noted summary at end. this approach, all subclass suborder details are included since there does seem enough time warrant level beyond individual Full classifications can found recent text published Lee, Hutner Bovee (1985).
