摘要: Abstract Objective This Host paper (III of V) reviews key surveillance and evaluation systems that monitor the characteristics, attitudes behaviors tobacco users are crucial for control efforts. Methods We summarize expand on recommendations from Working Group National Tobacco Monitoring, Research Evaluation Workshop. also discuss research challenges make additional improving evaluation. Results reviewed 10 major US surveys collect data use. A great deal is collected but gaps exist. Data collection cigars, smokeless tobacco, brand, menthols, PREPs sparse infrequent. Also, a number factors, including, not limited to, changes in population composition, declines survey response rates, increases cell phone use present may impact ongoing utility these systems.
