摘要: We study LQ Hya photometry for 1982-2014 with the carrier fit (CF) -method and compare our results to earlier photometric analysis recent Doppler imaging maps. first utilize different types of statistical methods estimate various candidates period CF method. Secondly, a global whole data set local fits shorter segments are computed that is found be optimal one. The harmonic least-squares all available reveals short close 1.6 days as limiting value significant frequencies. interpret this rotation spots near equatorial region. In addition, distribution periods bimodal, hinting longer-term modulating period, which we out two-harmonic model. Weak modulation signal is, indeed retrieved, roughly 6.9 years. phase dispersion gives clear symmetric minimum coherence times lower than around 100 days. mean (1.60514 days), chosen used analysis. With method seek any systematic trends in spot time frame, locally look abrupt changes reported rapidly rotating objects. During 2005-2008 coherent structure 1.6037 days, while during most other appears rather random phase. evolution object very chaotic, no signs an azimuthal dynamo wave would persist over longer scales, although short-lived structures observed occasionally do not rotate same speed distribution.
