摘要: Reconstructing evolution provides valuable insights into the processes of gene and function. However, while there have been great advances in algorithms software to reconstruct history families, these tools do not model domain shuffling events (domain duplication, insertion, transfer, deletion) that drive multidomain protein families. Protein through allows for rapid exploration functions by introducing new combinations existing folds. This powerful mechanism was key some significant evolutionary innovations, such as multicellularity vertebrate immune system. A method reconstructing this important process is urgently needed. Here, we introduce a novel, event-based framework studying reconciling tree with tree, additional information provided species tree.
