摘要: This research determined the effect of original subway line on spatial distribution population in Metropolitan Toronto. The comparison made is between a mass transit system and road (rather then expressway) system. By using 1951, before opened, same type figures 1956 1961, after operations began, it was found that construction altered form area. initially built through low-density area which primarily commercial. It redevelopment urban land protracted process effects service are slow manifesting themselves.
