摘要: A process for preparing a surfactant, useful dispersing tackifier resins in aqueous media, comprises reacting an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride, ester thereof, with terpene- hydrocarbon-based resin to form adduct, then the adduct polyalkylene polyol yield surfactant. In related embodiment, surfactant is subsequently functionalized. Also disclosed are surfactants prepared using process; compositions comprising and resin; dispersions surfactant; water; adhesive dispersion polymer latex; pressure sensitive overlays composition.
