摘要: Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, a bacterium associated with juvenile periodontitis, was found to use human hemoglobin as source of iron for cell growth. Cultivation in the presence had only slight effect on cellular protein pattern, determined by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis. Lipopolysaccharides obtained from A. actinomycetemcomitans were have strong capacity bind hemoglobin. This interaction appears not involve lipid A portion molecule no inhibition when lipopolysaccharides pre-treated polymyxin B. between and may facilitate acquisition this bacterium.
