摘要: The extent to which phylogenetic diversity (PD) captures feature (FD) is a topical and controversial question in biodiversity conservation. In this short paper, we formalize establish precise mathematical condition for FD (based on discrete characters) coincide with PD. way, make explicit the two main reasons why measures might disagree given data; namely, presence of certain patterns evolution loss, using temporal branch lengths PD settings that may not be appropriate (e.g., due rapid features over periods time). Our article also explores relationship between "Fair Proportion" index simple (both correspond Shapley values cooperative game theory). second result, show indices can take identical any tree, provided tree are chosen appropriately. [Evolutionary distinctiveness; diversity; shapley value.].
