摘要: We describe the morphologic characteristics and clinical importance of peritoneal lesions that have histologic features endometriosis but are devoid pigmented stigmas typical this disease. A total 137 laparoscopic biopsy specimens were taken nonpigmented in 77 patients, among whom 70 infertile. Seventy-three showed endometrium-like glands stroma, another 12 only endometrioid stroma; no such present 10 normal uterosacral ligament peritoneum (p = 0.005, Fisher's test). Nonpigmented commonly endometriotic were: white opacified (endometriosis 81% n 52 specimens), red flamelike (81% 16), glandular (resembling endometrium at hysteroscopy) (67% 21). Lesions sometimes subovarian adhesions (50% 4), yellow-brown patches (47% 19), circular defects (45% 11). However, thickened cribriform usually was not (9% 11) vesicular excrescences were, every case, reactions to oil-based salpingographic medium (n 5). Six patients underwent laparoscopy within 6 24 months each had developed previously abnormal areas. Visualization pigment is necessary diagnose endometriosis, definition its early, appearance keeps category "unexplained infertility" exclusive.
