摘要: Evidence for the effectiveness of beta-blockers in management patients with heart failure is now compelling a database over 13000 enrolled randomised prospective placebo-controlled clinical trials. However this therapy remains vastly underused practice. The different points challenging widespread use beta blockade agents routine treatment are presented and discussed. After review potential mechanism hypothesised behind benefits failure, controversial effects on haemodynamics, exercise tolerance, hospitalisation mortality underlined.
