摘要: Abstract A simple advection model is proposed for the prediction of precipitation patterns in complex terrain with arbitrary wind direction. The includes time delays associated conversion cloud water to hydrometeors and gravitational fallout hydrometeors. These equations are solved using a Fast Fourier Transform. tested against raingauge data from Alps radar Lago Maggiore area northwestern Italy, heavy rainfall event on September 20, 1999. Problems these sets discussed. In limit short delays, reduces well-known upslope method. Compared method, upslope-time-delay has significantly improved predictive skill. future, method may be extended include airflow dynamics downslope evaporation.
