摘要: From the sixteenth century to early twentieth, French fishermen came Petit Nord, a region of northern Newfoundland, harvest and process cod. After 1713, international treaties prevented them from overwintering or settling on and fishing rooms typically comprised ephemeral minimalist structures, with interesting exception large bread ovens. fishermen built such ovens in Newfoundland at least since late eighteenth century, during decades surrounding French Revolution.
