摘要: The extent of uptake gamma interferon (gamma-IFN) in various strata hairless mouse, human and hamster skin upon application a liposomal formulation an aqueous solution were determined by vitro diffusion cell experiments. For each the animal species studied, 70-80% liposomally entrapped IFN was deposited onto or penetrated into as 24 h after application. However, significant fraction this total amount (approximately 0.25-0.30) is either adsorbed to associated with stratum corneum. drug content found deeper strata, where receptor sites reside, suggests that deposition strongly influenced tested. percent applied followed order: (6.1) much greater than (0.9) mouse (0.3), although amounts tested approximately same. This indicates living epidermis and/or dermis cannot be predicted determination skin. also order increasing number follicles/hair species, suggesting transfollicular route important pathway for topical therapeutics.
