摘要: Summary The rate of particle clearance from the gills was assessed in healthy rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ), challenged with formalin-killed bacterium Flavobacterium branchiophilum , as well fish altered ventilation levels produced by varying concentrations dissolved oxygen (DO) water. F. quantified means an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Fish held under normoxic conditions (DO=9·5 mg/l) showed initial rapid reduction bacterial antigen, 50% bacteria being cleared first 12 h after exposure, followed slower for remaining bacteria; total elimination achieved 40 h. reduced rates (hyperoxia; DO=25 and elevated (hypoxia; DO=4·5 had significantly impaired r
