摘要: The study covered 240 male and female workers exposed to cadmium oxide nickel hydroxide dust in a Swedish battery factory. control group comprised 87 unexposed males. Air samples from the plant showed present exposure level be about 50 ..mu..g Cd/m/sup 3/ air. Cadmium-induced effects were studied by measuring urinary ..beta../sub 2/-microglobulin excretion. Urinary concentration followed log-normal distribution reference with geometric mean of 84 ..mu..g/liter (adjusted specific gravity 1.023). In 185 persons continuously work environment, prevalence increased excretion employment time. was 19 percent for 6 12 years as compared 3 those group. Smokers had three times higher than nonsmokers.
