摘要: Chitosan (CH) and its derivatives have been the focus of attention for researchers as potential adsorbents heavy metal removal. The adsorption chitosan cross-linked with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (CD) Cr6+ was investigated. CD characterized by FTIR, XRD, TGA, XPS ESR techniques. Batch experiments were conducted to optimize parameters affecting chromium. optimum pH found be 3 process exothermic. Adsorption isotherms determined maximum capacity chromium 192.3 mg/g which higher than reported in literature. thermodynamic parameters, such Gibbs free energy, changes enthalpy entropy change also evaluated. studies revealed that adsorbed onto reduced Cr3+. efficacy removal from chrome plating effluent demonstrated.
