摘要: Abstract Chromosomal rearrangements involving band 12p13 are found in a wide variety of human leukemias but particularly common childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The genes involved these rearrangements, however, have not been identified. We now report the cloning t(12;21) translocation breakpoint and 21q22 two cases pre-B leukemia, which were initially apparent. consequence is fusion helix-loop-helix domain TEL, an ETS-like putative transcription factor, to DNA-binding transactivation domains factor AML1. These data show that previously shown be fused platelet-derived growth receptor beta chronic myelomonocytic can implicated pathogenesis leukemia through its either tyrosine kinase or factor. TEL-AML1 also indicates translocations affecting AML1 gene associated with lymphoid, as well myeloid, malignancy.
