摘要: C-reactive protein (CRP) is a sensitive marker for low-grade inflammation. Long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) have anti-inflammatory effects. The objective of the present study was to investigate effect on serum levels CRP PUFA at two different doses. We also investigated correlations between and cellular contents PUFA. Sixty healthy volunteers (twenty-five women thirty-five men) were randomly assigned three treatment groups in double-blind design. subjects received supplement either 6.6 g PUFA/d, 2.0 PUFA/d or placebo (olive oil) 12 weeks. measured using highly assay. median concentration 0.78 mg/l. No significant found content granulocytes platelets. Subjects receiving had (P<0.01) increase 20 : 5n-3, 22 5n-3 6n-3, with largest occurring group PUFA/d. A decrease 18 2n-6 4n-6 observed simultaneously. Serum concentrations, however, unaffected by PUFA-containing supplements. shows that dietary supplementation supplements has no concentrations CRP, assay, subjects.
