摘要: Abstract An intense UV–visible photoluminescence of vacuum deposited Sb2O3 thin film surface crowded with randomly oriented thorn like structures have been studied using (PL) spectroscopy. The resulting UV emissions are near band edge (NBE) emissions. All the visible deep level (DLE) due to oxygen defect states. is achieved by inclined arrangement substrates respect source in chamber. Some distorted polygonal shapes also emerge among thorns giving an impression a hybrid formation upon annealing. This various leads decreased NBE and PL emission. excitation wavelength dependence emission has studied. optical gap energy found be varying from 3.64 3.42 eV on prepared films cubic structure polycrystalline nature as confirmed XRD results. emergence morphology clearly demonstrated aid FE-SEM TEM analyses. EDS verifies elemental composition Sb2O3. paper provides insight into influence confinement directions or intensities ranges
