Vibrational zeeman effect for the v4 mode of haloforms (HCX3) determined by magnetic vibrational circular dichroism

摘要: The magnetic vibrational circular dichroism (MVCD) spectra of the E-symmetry, ν 4 modes HCCl 3 , HCBr HCI and DCCl are presented. In each case, an MVCD term indicating a first order Zeeman effect is observed. g values for mode these haloforms were determined time by moment analysis absorption spectra. A partially charged «elastic bar» model proposed to qualitatively explain observed terms
