摘要: Presynaptic receptors provide plasticity to GABAergic synapses in the basal ganglia network, which GABA neurons outnumber all other neurons. receptors, mostly of metabotropic type, enhance or reduce strength synaptic inhibition and are activated by ligands being released from terminals themselves (autoreceptors) coming sources (heteroreceptors), including target innervated terminals. The latter mechanism, termed retrograde signaling, is given particular emphasis as far it occurs substantia nigra.
