摘要: When scientific advances lead to extended life spans, how will society plan population policies? Whether prolonging is desirable or not, it likely that expensive technologies make extension possible with far-reaching ethical and social consequences. Treating preventing a whole range of diseases might have "immortality" as side effect. Time-honored principles require radical rethinking before technological changes prolong outpace our vision the future.
