摘要: Background: Potential of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)–stimulating signaling pathways related to cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA) predict gastric cancer development has not been fully investigated. Methods: We conducted a nested case–control study consisting 238 cases and matched controls within the Korean Multicenter Cancer Cohort. Plasma HGF concentrations were measured with human ELISA. Odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (CI) for according level calculated using conditional logistic regression model. Results: Sequential elevation risk increase was observed (OR, 10.99; CI, 4.91–24.62) highest quartile (≥364 pg/mL) versus lowest ( Conclusions: Our results suggest as potential biomarker development. Impact: These findings useful risk. Further research assess based on biomarkers, including HGF, may contribute primary prevention cancer.
