摘要: A new digital time differential perturbed angular correlation spectrometer, designed to measure the energy of and coincidence between correlated detector signals, here γ photons, is presented. The system overcomes limitations earlier approaches features improved performance handling. By consequently separating data recording evaluation, it permits simultaneous measurement decays with several γ-ray cascades at once avoids necessity premeasurement configuration. Tests showed that spectrometer reaches a resolution 460 ps [using Co60 sample Lu1.8Y0.2SiO5:Ce (LYSO) scintillators, otherwise better than 100 ps], an equivalent limit used scintillation material, processing capability more 200 000 quanta per second. Other possible applications presented methods include nuclear spectroscopy, positron emission tomography, flight studies, lidar, radar.
