摘要: Productivity growth, technical efficiency change, and technological change were measured for a sample of 30 countries in the Western Hemisphere 1978–1994 period using Malmquist index. The Caribbean compared unfavorably with North America Latin American regions. Evidence indicated some support convergence hypothesis. Regression analysis that productivity growth was positively associated civil, economic, political liberty.
