摘要: The measurement of cusp height is the conventional method for determining amount excess material on free-form machined surfaces, and frequently used to justify surface quality at design manufacturing stages. Although, such assessment strategies are generally accepted by manufacturers customers, they may not provide enough information qualify surfaces. aim this work develop a new method, surfaces area volume cusps. built analytic mathematical models enhanced explicit forms equations. accuracy reliability these analytical formulations have been tested with data from machining trials comparisons commerical software package. indications that approach offers more comprehensive strategy than measuring method.
