This likely involve ultrathin astroglial protrusions often occur immediate vicinity excitatory synapses. The phenomenology, cellular mechanisms, and causal relationships such restructuring remain, however, poorly understood. large part because monitoring probing underpinning molecular machinery scale nanoscopic compartments remains a challenge.
