摘要: In this study we examine the adoption of climate framework laws in 20 member states European Union (EU) from 1990 until 2015. Our analysis is guided by following research questions: First, which EU have adopted change legislation that addresses mitigation, adaptation, or both? Second, do countries act coherently observe differences across regarding response strategy point time policies directed towards change? Third, comparing mitigation and adaptation frameworks, approach came first did it affect respective other? findings show all save one (i.e., Hungary) covered tackling and/or to change. While not a coherent pattern with respect timing sequence found best predictor national government's behavior governments other countries. However, less homogenous than would expected based on previous literature. addition, highlighting measures are equally prominent, at least within our sample countries, complement current literature often places efforts forefront terms activity. Future should issue more closely, as dynamic likely continue since Paris Agreement gave prominence adaptation.
