摘要: Abstract The purpose of this study is to suggest an efficient process, which does not require a big investment for the removal pyridine from wastewater. Activated carbons developed agricultural waste materials were characterized and utilized Systematic studies on adsorption equilibrium kinetics by low cost activated carried out. Adsorption out at different temperatures, particle size, pH adsorbent doses. Both Langmuir Freundlich models fitted data quite reasonably. results indicate that isotherm model fits better as compared model. Various mechanisms established adsorbents. Further, are correlated with non-linear form linear one. kinetic conducted delineate effect temperature, initial adsorbate concentration, size solid liquid ratio. follows first order rate kinetics. On basis these studies, various parameters such effective diffusion coefficient, activation energy entropy evaluated establish mechanisms. It concluded occurs through mechanism temperatures 10 25 °C while 40 it film mechanism. Similarly concentrations 50 mg/l controlled at⩽50 controlled.
