摘要: Abstract The ferric hexaquo complex, [Fe(H 2 O) 6 ] 3+ , in aqueous solution frozen to a homogeneous glass, has been investigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy, using magnetically dilute samples. Spectra with well resolved magnetic hyperfine structure were obtained at 4.5 and 78 K various applied fields up 12kG. A consistent interpretation within the spin Hamiltonian formalism is possible if crystal field parameters are admitted some random variation from one iron ion another glass matrix. results given terms of ( S = 5 ) quadratic terms, D 0.10 cm −1 λ 0.20, as quartic, cubic term, 0.017 (the quoted average values). Reliable can be only after careful determination saturation H O 585 kG ). value found for splitting factor same order that previously EPR diluted (crystalline) alums, which also contain complex.
