摘要: The paper documents the presence of a number species insectivorous bats over saltmarshes in temperate Australia, including French Island and Quail Island, Victoria, Carama Inlet, Kooragang and South-West Rocks Creek, New South Wales. Bat activity, detected using an Anabat Recorder, was particularly high at Kooragang on Hunter River. A detailed survey insect diversity and abundance Kooragang Island demonstrated a diverse range insects corresponding to published data the diet bat recorded. study suggests that saltmarsh is likely be an important source prey for many species.
