摘要: Learng Pid Samud (LPS) recipe is a traditional remedy in Thai folk medicine to ease the common diarrhea. The anti-diarrheal potential of LPS was herein examined vitro using guinea-pig ileum model. exerted an inhibitory effect on acetylcholine-induced smooth muscle contraction guinea pig ileum. Significantly, not only did reduce total amount feces induced diarrhea rats, but also intestinal transit charcoal meal test. A single oral administration with at 5,000 mg/kg cause acute toxicity and daily (1,000, 2,000 4,000 mg/kg) for 90 days rats produce any toxic signs symptoms. In conclusion, evidently safe effective treatment which supports its therapeutic uses alternative medicine.
