摘要: The present experiment was performed to study the peri-implant tissue response non-submerged (1-stage) and initially submerged (2-stage) implant installation procedures. 6 beagle dogs were used. All mandibular premolars 1st, 2nd 3rd maxillary extracted. After 3 months of healing, fixtures Astra Tech System installed in right (or left) edentulous, premolar region each dogs. Radiographs obtained immediately after fixture installation. In radiographs, distance between abutment-fixture junction most "coronal" bone contact with surface determined. later, abutments connected another same system contralateral, edentulous region. Abutments were, however, newly-installed (non-submerged side; test side). mucosal flaps replaced, adjusted sutured such a way that coronal portion remained exposed oral cavity. A new set radiographs from all sites animal. period plaque control initiated. Clinical examinations at termination experiment. 9 1st procedure, animals sacrificed, mandibles removed, dissected. mesially-located processed for ground sectioning. remaining biopsies embedded EPON. histometric analysis included assessment vertical dimension marginal soft mineralized tissues. sections used measurements describing (i) "bone contact" (ii) density". It observed mucosa formed implants placed or procedure had many features common. Thus, figures height mucosa, length junctional epithelium quality zone "connective integration", (iii) % as well (iv) density bone, similar groups. is therefore suggested technique may provide conditions integration are those using approach.
