摘要: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) using a combination of direct anisotropy measurements provided more anatomically accurate morphological representation the human spinal cord than traditional indices. Furthermore, use fuzzy logic algorithm to segment regions gray and white matter within based on these allowed for morphometric analyses. Results indicated significant decrease in overall cross-sectional area, dorsal funiculus lateral funiculi cross- sectional area subjects with injury compared neurologically intact control subjects. also showed individuals caudal injuries had morphology morphometry that was similar subjects, which is consistent process Wallerian degeneration has been illustrated by previous investigations involving animal surrogates.
