Pentachlorophenol Hazards to Fish, Wildlife, and Invertebrates: A Synoptic Review

摘要: Abstract : Pentachlorophenol (PCP) is now widely used as a wood preservative; this use has contributed to the presence and detection of PCP residues in air, rain, groundwater, surface water, fish aquatic invertebrates, human urine, blood, milk. This report reviews technical literature on ecological toxicological aspects environment, with emphasis fishery wildlife resources. Subtopics include sources uses, chemical properties, fate, background concentrations, lethal sublethal effects, current recommendations for resource protection.
