摘要: Excitation effects due to rotational motion of the internuclear line during an atomic collision are considered in two-state approximation. These governed by a pair first-order differential equations which couple adiabatic levels different angular momentum (e.g., $\ensuremath{\sigma}$ $\ensuremath{\pi}$ transitions), actually do cross. The cast such form that solution for excitation may be expressed terms well-known Landau-Zener solution. It is found, however, application these results real suffers from defects worse case than ordinary Landau-Zenner transitions. coupled then solved numerically document shortcomings approach and present cross-section free defects.
