摘要: Chordoma is known to be the most common primary tumor of sacrum. Its surgery challenging from many aspects. A large amount bleeding one biggest issues. 52-year-old woman was admitted our clinic with a huge mass at The diagnosed as chordoma after needle biopsy. Prior surgery, balloon dilation catheter (BDC) placed in distal abdominal aorta via femoral artery. Just skin incision, BDC inflated contrast medium and total occlusion achieved. At end operation we observed that hemorrhage had decreased dramatically. No complications were recorded except hypertension during which expected. patient discharged two weeks hospitalization post-operatively without any neurological deficit. Our report second neurosurgical literature knowledge. Although this result preliminary needs replicated expanded upon, first experience method effective for decreasing bleeding. We believe prevents hemo-dynamical problems caused by massive secondary transfusion.
