摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter reviews the actions of bradykinin (BK) as an inflammatory mediator in urinary tract and outlines importance this diseases related to tract. BK has multiple proinflammatory actions, suggesting a pathophysiological role disease. Distributed ubiquitously throughout body, cascade leading production kinins occurs interstitial spaces following activation kinin-forming enzymes, kallikreins (KLKs). The evidence for active involvement conditions lower originates from studies investigating effect B2 receptor antagonist rat models cystitis. In these studies, two chemically evoked cystitis are employed: acute induced by instillation 30% xylene silicone oil into bladder female rats or subacute intraperitoneal administration cyclophosphamide male rats.
