摘要: The crystal structures of two forms β-cyclodextrin·barbital complexes (Form I and Form II) were investigated by X-ray analysis. In crystal, β-cyclodextrin(β-CyD) molecules including barbital form a dimeric structure the hydrogen bonds among their secondary hydroxyl groups. unit cell volume II is about twice as large that there exist β-CyD dimers in II. Although (Host)/(Guest) ratio 1/1, only one molecule can be found at present stage. similarities differences between are mainly discussed here.
